Meghan Markle was recently spotted at the Montecito Farmers Market, not with Prince Harry, but with one of her beloved beagles. The former actress, wearing a white button-down collar shirt over a camel-coloured maxi dress, black flip flops and sunglasses, moved from tent to tent browsing the various collections of items.

During the outing, Barbara, the Duchess of Sussex, who lives in Santa Barbara with her husband Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reportedly disobeyed a law at this local market.

In visuals shared exclusively by the Daily Mail, there is a sign at the market which reads: “No dogs allowed except for the exception of accredited service animals… We thank you for your understanding and co-operation Are.”

One question asked on the market’s Yelp page is, “Is it dog friendly?” The answer to the question states: “No dogs are allowed except for service animals.

There are signs at every entrance.” However, some on Twitter reportedly rejected the idea that there was such a rule and accused the British media of constantly harassing Meghan.

However, others mocked and severely criticized Meghan for this failure. The Times of India could not independently verify whether this was a rule of the market, and whether it was in force when Meghan attended.

Despite the unproven breach, the former actress attended as she perused the market stalls, sampled local honey and picked some flowers. Meghan almost went unnoticed by locals as she visited various market stalls and picked up a bouquet of fresh flowers, which she placed in her straw bag before continuing with her shopping.

For information, the Montecito Farmers Market is close to Meghan and Harry’s $14.7 million estate in the California town, which is adjacent to Santa Barbara and about two hours from Los Angeles. Meghan and Harry bought the home in an off-market transaction in the summer of 2020, after stepping down as senior royals in London and living in Victoria, British Columbia for a short time.
